REPS rising!
MIL’s Rapid Engineering and Prototyping Solutions (REPS) sector
is celebrating the groundbreaking and early stages of its latest
facility expansion. In addition to the current MIL Integration
Facility, REPS has committed to leasing an additional 26K
sq. ft. integration facility just down the road from the current
building. This will give REPS a total of over 50K sq. ft. of flexible
and configurable engineering, production, integration, and
warehousing space.
As steel seemingly springs from the ground at MIL’s newest
Patuxent River, MD location, REPS Executive Vice President
(EVP) Tom Clark and Senior VP Harvil Jenkins have cause to
anticipate the early fall opening of MIL’s latest Southern Maryland
engineering workspace. The new facility will expand MIL’s ability
to provide increasingly more complex and advanced engineering
support to our NAVAIR and NAWC WOLF customers.
Over the last two decades, MIL’s REPS customers at NAWC
WOLF have grown to depend on our ability to rise to
each technical challenge we have faced. Under Tom and
Harvil’s leadership, REPS has expanded its technical team to
approximately 150 engineering, integration, testing, logistics, and
project management experts, and grown its service area into a
$35M annual operation, with no limits in sight.
MIL’s new facility and larger Southern Maryland footprint will enable REPS sector staff to work on projects on a much larger scale,
develop creative efficiencies to perform existing work better, and give MIL’s customers more options when rapid and flexible facilities
are needed. These new capabilities will help us continue to expand MIL's current staffing base with the addition of flexible and modern
office amenities, state-of-the-art conference room facilities, and an ability to house large-scale systems indoors.
REPS EVP Tom Clark says, “We are excited to be expanding our MIL capabilities and resources, to give our customers more options
to execute their missions—all while having a positive influence on our Southern Maryland community. This new facility will go a long
way in solidifying continued growth for the REPS sector, the DoD Business Unit, and MIL as a whole.”
