1. MINNIE FOY (187?- ?)

We know almost nothing about MINNIE. She was born in Limestone County, Texas in the 1870s. She met and married
a man named PARKER, date and location unknown. At some
point the PARKERs moved to California. They had at least two
sons; one named VERNON, the other ROBERT.

VERNON’s and ROBERT’s addresses were noted on the FOY
family mailing list following the 1977 family reunion. At that
time ROBERT lived in Los Angeles, California while VERNON
lived in Reseda, California (near L.A.). Nothing is known
regarding any wife or children each may have had.

ROBERT PARKER appears in this photograph which was
submitted by Hazel White. The time and location of this
photograph are not known. The cars are vintage 1955 and
earlier (cropping of the photo for this publication does not
allow the cars to be seen). From left to right in the photo
are: CORA HAZEL (FOY) COOK, EDNA LaUNIA (VAN CLEAVE)
FOY, ELMA MAUD (McHORSE) FOY, TRUMAN FRANK FOY, LILA FERN (KNOTE) FOY, and ROBERT PARKER.

The name PARKER is of interest in FOY family history. JOHN ELON FOY’s first wife MARY W. McCOWN following their
divorce, allegedly married an individual by the last name PARKER. At that time she lived in the Ft Worth- Dallas area.
It is not known if the PARKER who MARY married and the PARKER who MINNIE married were related.
