the Consulate General and the Philippine Mission to the United
Nations, their family members and friends, fought bravely in the
tournament’s Amateur Division, and was able to reach the Semi
Finals stage but was unfortunately eliminated before the
Championship game.
Participants to the said tournament came from New
Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania. There were several
Tournament divisions namely: Amateur, Open, Senior/35, 17U and
14U. League organizers lined up various other fitness activities for
the public like badminton, volleyball, table and tennis and Zumba
every weekend during the two-month run of the event.
Participation in the tournament enabled the Consulate to
strengthen connections and rapport with Filipino community teams
and families who joined the games.
