Princeton Alternative Elementary School
To ensure effective involvement of parents and to support a partnership among the
school, parents, and the community to improve student academic achievement, our
school begins with a belief that student success is a shared interest of both school
and family, envision parents as partners in the learning process, and then identify
concrete ways that partnership can be activated. Princeton School starts with a

requires a two-way flow of information. Princeton school develops efficient
structures for getting information out-such as newsletters, Web sites, and press
releases far fewer develop similar structures to ensure that feedback from parents
is actively solicited.

Shall educate teachers, office personnel, and other school staff, with the assistance of
parents, in the value and utility of contributions of parents, and in how to reach out to,
communicate with, and work with parents as equal partners, implement and coordinate
parent programs, and build ties between parents and the school.
Princeton Alternative Elementary School's Instructional Leadership Team, classroom
teachers, and the Parental Involvement Committee/PTA works diligently to gather
and make available resources and materials that help parents become more
knowledgeable of how to best assist their child(ren) with literacy, technology, and
basic skills needed to ensure their academic success. Through A Whole-School
Transformation Process., each stakeholder teaches and learns about 21st century
leadership and life skills that creates a school culture of student empowerment
based on the idea that every child can be a leader.
