Demystifying The Curse Of Poverty
withered.
“Now next day, when they had come out from Bethlehem, [Jesus]
was hungry. And seeing from a far fig tree having leaves, He
went to see if perhaps He would find something on it. When He
came to it, He found nothing but leaves, for it was not the season
of figs. In response Jesus said to it, “Let no one eat fruit from you
ever again”. And His disciples heard it…Now in the morning as
they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots. And
Peter remembering said to Him “Rabbi, look! The fig tree which
you cursed has withered away” [Mark 11:12-14, 20 -21]
Secondly a curse can be generational. This takes the root when we
are born in a lineage that is marked by un-repented sin.
“Our fathers have sinned and are no more, and we have borne
their iniquities” (Lamentations 5:7) [AMP]
The areas that are affected will occasionally be marked with
unprecedented struggle and it becomes almost impossible to
experience freedom. If for example, the curse is affecting your
finances, you will struggle in that area despite all possible human
effort to succeed financially.
