Breaking the Curse of Poverty  David K. Owusu

The Cross: Crossing over to Abundance

“And you who were dead in trespasses and in the uncircumcision
of your flesh (your sensuality, your sinful carnal nature), [God]
brought to life together with [Christ], having [freely] forgiven us
all our transgressions, having cancelled and blotted out and wiped
away the handwriting of the note (bond) with its legal decrees
and demands which was in force and stood against us (hostile to
us). This [note with its regulations, decrees and demands] He set

aside and cleared completely wiped out of our way by nailing it to
                  [His] cross. Colossians 2:13-14 [AMPC]

Perhaps the first statement for every believer that carries with it
all the truths that lays the foundation and the basis upon which
one can rightfully exercise their authority. The very blessings God
intends are all founded upon the cross that transformed man from
the curse in Genesis to the supernatural abundance that was once
flowing in the Garden of Eden.

This was in conformity with God’s original intent.

Jesus emphasizes this point yet again when He states that His
mission is to make us have life that is rewarding and full, till it
               overflows.

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they
may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till
                  it overflows). John 10:10 [AMPC]
