William “Bill” Boyd Burgett founded Kokosing
Construction Company in 1951. Bill has influenced
thousands through the establishment of Kokosing, his
involvement in the construction industry at state and
national levels and his philanthropic efforts. Bill laid
the foundation of Kokosing upon his high standard of
excellence, drive for success and dedication to his work.
Bill was incredibly committed to investing in the future,
especially in two specific areas: developing people
and owning a robust equipment fleet. Kokosing’s Core
Values are structured around principles that defined
Bill’s character; his legacy lives on in the deeply-held
beliefs that remain the company’s guidepost. Bill’s vision,
courage, sacrifice and hard work laid the foundation for
this company to grow from a two-man operation to the
thriving success it is today.
