Shirley Burgett Conference Room

Shirley Burgett has been Kokosing’s most dedicated
supporter from the very beginning. Bill said that Shirley
was beside him throughout his journey and that he would
not be who he was without her. Shirley was active in
the growth of Kokosing, including keeping the books in
its’ early years and naming the company newsletter, the
Hoot Owl. Shirley raised five children, graduated from
The Ohio State University with an education degree and
farmed and managed a farming operation of over 800
acres. She took great pride in the beauty of her roses and
flower gardens. Shirley continued to remain a guardian
of her husband’s lifework as the legacy of the family-
owned business is passed from generation to generation.
