Barth Burgett
Maintenance Complex

Barth Burgett, the fifth child of Bill and Shirley, started
as a full-time Kokosing team member in 1979 following
graduation from Columbus State Community College.
After several years of managing the utility division, Barth
transitioned to executive vice president of equipment to
oversee equipment maintenance and supply. Under his
leadership the Kokosing equipment fleet has flourished to
a Fleet Masters award-winning collection of heavy and
mid-size equipment. Barth’s unwavering commitment to
improve operator training for Kokosing team members
naturally lead to industry-wide training enhancements
he influenced as a member of the board of trustees
for the Ohio Operating Engineers Apprenticeship and
Training Fund. Barth, inspired by his father’s respect
for construction equipment, provided extraordinary
management of essential components that significantly
contributed to the success of Kokosing.
