十九世紀/二十世紀早期 鸂鶒木多寶格
Duobaoge 多寶格 (literally meaning ‘multiple treasure cabinets’)
apparently were first constructed during the early Qing dynasty. The
upper section was used to display antiques, while the lower section
was used to store books and scrolls. Compare with a related jichimu
cabinet, late Qing dynasty, illustrated by Tian Jiaqing, Classic Chinese
Furniture of the Qing Dynasty, Hong Kong, 1995, p.235, no.106. See
a related jichimu display cabinet, 19th century, which was sold at 389
Christie’s New York, 20-21 March 2014, lot 2299.
