A WHITE JADE RETICULATED ‘PHEASANT’ PLAQUE
QING DYNASTY, 18TH CENTURY
The plaque is carved and pierced depicting a pheasant perched on a prunus tree bearing
gnarled branches and prunus blossoms. A signature Zigang is carved on the trunk,
followed by a seal ‘Lu’. The semi-translucent stone is of an even white tone with a soft
polish.
