QING DYNASTY, 18TH CENTURY
the square stepped lower base decorated to
each side with the ‘Three Jewels’ flanked by
addorsed snow lions between two registers
of stylised floral scrolls, surmounted by a
rounded bumpa raised on a three-tiered
base adorned with beaded jewel garlands
and semi-precious stone inlay, the conical
sphere framed by two appendages, topped
with a parasol in open work and a finial
representing the crescent moon and sun
