            QING DYNASTY, 18TH CENTURY

            seated in dhyanasana on a double-lotus base,
            with the two principle arms held in front of
            the torso, the other two raised in mid-air
            holding various attributes, the face with
            peaceful expression surmounted by a five-
            pointed crown enclosing a high chignon, the                                                      189

            inlaid with semi-precious stones and a
            flowing dhoti and a billowing scarf around the
            shoulders and arms falling to the base
