                                  A LARGE BRONZE TRIPOD CENSER
                                  17TH-18TH CENTURY

                            The compressed body is cast with a pair of lion-mask handles and is raised on three cabriole
                            legs, each cast with further lion masks. An apocryphal Xuande mark is cast in a rectangle on
                            the base. The patina is of brownish-red color.
                            11æ in. (30 cm.) wide across the handles, wood cover, wood stand

                            The K’ung Hsiang-Hsi (Kong Xiangxi, 1881- 1967) Collection, New York, and thence by
                            descent within the family.
