          A CORAL-GROUND GILT-DECORATED ‘DRAGON’ WATER POT,
          TAIBAI ZUN
          QIANLONG SIX-CHARACTER SEAL MARK IN IRON-RED AND OF THE
          PERIOD (1736-1795)
          The beehive-shaped vessel is decorated to the exterior in gilt with four fve-
          clawed dragon roundels chasing the faming pearl amongst cloud scrolls,
          separated by prunus and lily sprays. The rim is decorated with a keyfret band
          and the foot is encircled by a band of foaming waves.
