GOOSE
A CELADON and russet JADE
‘DEER’ PENDANT SONG-MING DYNASTY (960-1644)
LIAO-JIN DYNASTY (907-1234) The stone is carved as a stylised goose with
its head turned backward resting gently
The pendant is carved in the form of above the plump body detailed with
a recumbent deer with its feet tucked plumage. The stone is of a greenish-yellow
underneath. It is pierced through its body tone with brown russet inclusions.

suffused with areas of russet.
