AN IMPRESSIVE PALE GREEN JADE MUGHAL-STYLE 'FLORAL'
BOWL
Circa 1900
The shallow bowl carved with thin curving sides decorated in relief
with a continuous central band of leaf-form cartouches enclosing floral
sprays, the rim decorated with scrolling foliage, all raised on a short
circular foot carved with radiating bands of petals encircling a central
flower roundel, the semi-translucent stone of a pale green tone with
creamy inclusions.
