A LARGE SPINACH-GREEN JADE 'TIGER HUNT' BOULDER
20th century
The asymmetric boulder worked in varying levels of relief on both
sides, one side carved with eight equestrian figures in pursuit of a
deer and tiger amidst pine and wutong trees against a mountainous
landscape, the reverse with four equestrians ascending the rocky
landscape, and two figures on foot carrying a pheasant, the stone a
deep green hue with russet inclusions.
