A gilt-bronze seated figure of Sakyamuni
17th/18th century
The figure with painted lips and eyes downcast between elongated
earlobes, the heavy robe falling from the left shoulder with
elaborately incised borders, the hands held in dhyana mudra over
the crossed legs, all on a double-lotus pedestal.

A repoussé gilt-bronze figure of a Tibetan lama
18th/19th Century
Modelled seated cross-legged atop a double-lotus pedestal, the figure
wearing a high-peaked monk’s cap above the gently smiling face with
downcast eyes and lips with remains of red tint, the body swathed in
thick robe with richly embroidered hems, the hands held in front of the
chest in dharmachakramudra.
