A FRAMED SILK FRAGMENT WITH EMBROIDERY
Qing dynasty
The unusual white gauze brocade ground woven with gilt-wrapped
threads and further gilt wrapped threads used to define the long
tailed beast crawling amid cloud and flame scrolls, plants and rock
worked in threads of varying color; now matted, framed and glazed.
