Depicted attired in robes predominantly glazed in blue and white, the
arhats seated in various postures and clasping varied implements,
raised upon rocky plinths and bearing fancifully vivid expressions to
the unglazed biscuit faces (minor damage to some figures).

A POLYCHROME ENAMELED LUOHAN RIDING A QILIN
Late Qing/Republic period
The youthful Buddhist monk holding a scepter as he sits astride the
fabulous beast with its head turned toward the left and jaw open, the
surfaces painted in black and famille rose enamels (chipped, repaired
and retouched).

A POLYCHROME ENAMELED FIGURE OF JI GONG
Late Qing/Republic period
The ‘mad monk’ depicted dressed in a distinctive cap and tattered
robes, smiling as he sits with a fan in one hand and a lingzhi fungus
branch in the other, the surfaces biscuit-fired with shades of blue,
purple and yellow enamels and the base left unglazed (minor small
chips).
