Qing dynasty
The figure of Li Tieguai balanced on one foot and holding a double
gourd in his left hand; the standing figure of military official, possibly
Zhenwu the God of Warrior, standing on a pedestal base with his
hands clasps in front of the chest; the small figure of scholar, possibly
Wenchang the God of Literature, seated in ‘royal ease’ posture with
his left arm resting on the gnarled tree stand, a handscroll placed
behind his elbow, with fitted wood stand.
Li Tieguai 8 3/8in (21.5cm) high; Warrior 10in (25.7cm) high; Scholar
3 3/8in (9cm) high without base
