A CELADON JADE YOUTHFUL PRAYING FIGURE Our figure appears to be a Buddhist acolyte in prayer as indicated by
Ming/Qing Dynasty the lotus on which he sits, the beribboned robes that surround him
The beribboned figure seated on a lotus base, with legs crossed and and the top knot of hair. The closest parallel in jade is a larger figure
with the soles of his feet visible, his hands held in prayer, his hair tied of Amitayus sold at Bonhams, London, 13 May 2021, lot 27.
