           Qing Dynasty, 18th century
Carved in the form of a hollowed tree trunk, one branch stretched
from the base supporting a cluster of pine needles, another branch

pine needles, the rugged skin hinting old age of the tree, the stone
highly polished leaving natural russet areas to enhance the design,
the base slightly concaved to form a narrow ring.
