A SILVERED METAL CONJOINED DOUBLE SNUFF BOTTLE AN IRON-RED PAINTED PORCELAIN ‘LONGEVITY’ SNUFF

Each bottle in the form of a double gourd, further decorated with Jingdezhen kilns, Qianlong mark and of the period, 1735-1796
leaves and floral motifs, supported by oval foot rims, embellished with Of compressed double gourd form, with a flat, flaring gilt lip and a
carnelian inlay, with conforming stoppers. concave foot, the body in iron-red enamels with each side adorned
1 7/8in (4.7cm) exclusive of the stopper with scrolling lotus surrounding a gilt stylized shou character, the base
with a four-character mark in iron-red enclosed by a rectangle.

A nearly identical formed metal bottle, enameled but lacking the US$3,000 - 5,000
hardstone embellishment, was formerly in the collection of Eric Young.
