A Nepalese gilt copper alloy figure of Manjuvara and Prajnaparamita. Manjurava is a
three-headed and six-armed tantric form of Manjushri, he is seated in dhyanasana on
a double lotus throne with his consort Prajnaparamita, the main pair of hands hold
a dorje and bell, the two other pair holds a sword, lasso, flower. The figure group is
backed by a flaming mandorla. The back with a lengthy dedicatory inscription dated
Newari Samvat 957 (1853). Weight 1210 g. H. 18.5 cm.
