A Tibetan gilt copper alloy figure of Vajradhara, he is seated
in dhyanasana on a double lotus throne, arms crossed in
front, hands holding a dorje and a bell. Delicately made
pleated collar, dhoti and swallowtail pleated scarfs tied
above the elbow, richly adorned with jewellery and crown
set with stones. Remains of blue colour on hair. Back lotus
leaves in a larger simpler form than front. Not sealed, but
consecrated filling is visible. 16th century. Weight 977 g.
