A Huanghuali folding horseshoe-back armchair,
Jiao yi
19th/20th century
The high rounded crestrail ending in hand rests supported by the curved
extensions of the front legs, applied with metal fittings decorated with
flowers on a ring-punched ground, the backsplat carved with pierced
panels with qilin amidst stylised clouds and scrolls, the front stretcher
with cash roundel and geometric pattern metal fittings.
