A CARVED ALOESWOOD ‘LANDSCAPE’ BRUSHPOT
QING DYNASTY (1644-1911)
The brushpot is carved in relief of varying depths, with a continuous landscape of rolling
hills delicately detailed with far and distant huts shaded by pine trees against a backdrop of
rocky mountains. It is naturalistically shaped with a tapered base and flared irregular rim.
