a band of stylized dragons and upright ruyi 館藏編號1967.95a-b
heads, conjoined by a heavenly bird grasping a
circular ring in its beak, the wings spread wide,
standing on a chilong which curls through the
base to the reverse side, the softly polished
stone with an attractive pale gray tinge and
patches of sugar-brown
height 2⅞ in., 7.3 cm

Collection of Grace Brown palmer (1882-1966).
Gifted to the art Institute of Chicago, Chicago,
in 1967 (acc. no. 1967.95a-b).
