A green jade figure of Budai and
Buddhist lions
19th century
The plump deity carved reclining with right hand
raised to his chest and the left hand supporting
a bowl balanced on his left shoulder, the figure
leaning against a full sack and beside a pair of
playful Buddhist lions clambering over each other
head to tail, wood stand.
10.5cm (4 1/8in) long (2).

Two white jade carvings
18th/19th century
One carved from two-toned jade with a smiling boy
with one leg clambering over a double gourd and
one hand holding aloft a spray of lingzhi fungus
while another boy climbs on his back, the flecked
grey area carved as a tree shrew, 5cm (2in) wide;
the other of a feline and cub biting on leaves curled
around a butterfly with wings spread,
4.7cm (1 7/8in) wide. (2).
