A fine large gilt-bronze figure of a Bodhisattva
seated on a dragon
Ming Dynasty
The large figure heavily cast seated with the right knee raised to the
dragon’s shoulder, the Immortal wearing long looping florally-edged
robes exposing only his chest and feet, an elaborate Buddhist tiara
concealing his knotted hair, and a jewelled pectoral, the dragon with
head raised snarling to the left, all on an integrally-cast oval double-
lotus base, the figure with much gilding remaining over a thinly-
lacquered dark red ground.
