A gilt-bronze standing Bodhisattva
18th/19th century
The hair twisted in thick strands and piled atop the
head above the serene face, the broad shoulders
swathed in a simple robe opening to reveal the bare
chest, the right hand raised in abhaya mudra, the
flowing skirt reaching down to the bare feet, on a
separately-cast double-lotus pedestal.
Overall 43.6cm (17 1/8in) high (2).
