A large seated figure of an Immortal
Impressed Qianlong seal mark, 20th century
The unusual and highly detailed hunched figure modelled with
drooping eyes beneath flowing eyebrows reaching over his chest and
knee, the bulbous nose above the broad red-lipped mouth gaping
open to reveal seventeen white teeth and a curling tongue, the
elongated earlobes pierced and resting on the green-glazed gown
falling from the shoulders, the hands clasped over the raised right
knee clad in a bright blue under-robe, the figure seated on a high
rocky outcrop glazed bluish-grey.
