A LARGE BLUE AND WHITE ‘LANDSCAPE’ BALUSTER VASE
Kangxi period
The rounded sides finely painted with a mountainous waterscape
punctuated with travelers, fishermen, pavilions, and trees, with birds
flying in the distance, the trumpet neck similarly decorated, the base
encircled by a detailed band of flowering plants and insects, all
rendered in inky cobalt-blue tones, an unglazed foot ring surrounding
the double-circle on the foot.
