SIX ARCHAISTIC JADE AND HARDSTONE PENDANTS
Late Qing Dynasty
Comprising a guqin incised with strings and carved with tone
markings, pierced at one end for attachment, the mottled beige stone
stained orange-brown in areas; a cicada of flattened form, simply
carved to depict eyes and wings, the stone stained black throughout;
an oval pendant carved with a chi dragon, perforated at one end, the
olive-green stone with black and russet inclusions; two bell-shaped
pendants decorated with incised ‘leaf’ patterns suspended from
double strings, the knop perforated for suspension, the celadon
stone stained russet brown; a heart-shaped pendant carved with a
chi dragon in high relief, perforated at the knop and at the center, the
translucent stone stained russet brown. (6)

TWO ARCHAISTIC JADE SEALS
Late Qing Dynasty
The tortoise knop supported by a square platform base, the underside
with six characters in seal script, drilled horizontally under the belly for
stringing, the stone mottled and altered dark brown in areas; the chi
dragon knop carved in high relief over a square base, the underside
with two characters in seal script, perforated under the body for
stringing, the pale stone altered russet-brown and black in areas. (2)
Tortoise seal: 1 7/16in (3.7cm) high, 1 7/16in (3.7cm) square at base;
Chi dragon seal: 7/8in (2.2cm) high, 1in (2.5cm) square at base
