           TWO ARCHAISTIC JADE PLAQUES
           Late Qing Dynasty
           The trapezoidal blade following the form of ancient ceremonial yue
           axe, pierced on the narrow end, the blade concave on one side and
           carved with a chi dragon in high relief, the reverse convex and incised
           with a taotie mask within line borders, the translucent green stone with
           brown streaks, fitted stand; the openwork plaque of near trapezoidal
           form finely carved on both sides with a pair of confronting phoenixes
           enclosing a yin-yang symbol, a tiger head at the lower end with a wang
           character on its forehead, the beige stone mottled brown and altered
           dark brown in areas, fitted stand. (2)
           Yue axe: 4 3/8in (11.1cm) long;
           Openwork plaque: 3 3/4in (9.5cm) long

           A JADE ‘PAVILION’ SEAL & AN ARCHAISTIC JADE FINIAL
           Late Qing Dynasty
           Under the sloping roof, the rectangular block perforated at waist for
           stringing, the bottom carved with four characters in seal script, the
           pale celadon stone mottled black and gray in areas; the finial carved
           with a chi dragon in high relief, encircling a mountain peak above
           scrolling clouds, the underside perforated for attachment, the mottled
           green stone stained brown in areas. (2)
           seal: 1 1/4in (3.2cm) high;
           finial: 15/16in (2.4cm) high, 1 9/16 (4cm) wide
