THREE ARCHAISTIC CARVED JADE BI DISCS
Late Qing Dynasty
The flat disc divided into four sections, finely carved with bajixiang
in low relief, the celadon stone tinted brown and pitted in areas; the
yellow and russet disc with one side convex and decorated with a chi
dragon in relief, the other side slightly concave similarly decorated, the
stone smoothly polished; the small disc carved with a chi dragon in
relief on the outer edge, the stone mottled beige and brown. (3)
Flat disc: 2 5/8in (6.7cm) diam;
Convex disc: 2 1/16in (5.2cm) diam;
Small disc: 7/8in (2.2cm) diam

FIVE ARCHAISTIC JADE ‘CICADA’ ORNAMENTS
Late Qing Dynasty
The largest of oval form with simple incised lines to indicate wings and
eyes, the brown stone with streaks inclusions; one of square form with
large protruding eyes, the pale stone stained black in areas; one with
flat back, carved in relief and incised on the wings, the stone stained
reddish-brown; one simply carved in geometric form, the stone stained
black and brown in areas; one following the natural form and carved in
low relief, the pale celadon stone stained black in most areas. (5)
