           FOUR ARCHAISTIC JADE PLAQUES
           Late Qing Dynasty
           The olive-green recumbent creature with legs tucked underneath the
           body, the face defined by an alert expression beneath pointed ears and
           behind a large snout; the large russet-brown ‘S’-shaped serpent cradling
           a beaked bird on its side; the white dragon with trailing mane behind the
           head, the lower part of the figure broken, with edges of the stone stained
           black; the small olive-green horned serpent gnawing at its tail to form a
           loop, the stone with rough surface and stained black in areas. (4)
           Olive-green creature: 2 3/4in (7cm) wide;
           Russet-brown serpent: 7/8in (12.4cm) long;
           White dragon: 3 3/4in (9.5cm) wide;
           Olive-green horned serpent: 2 3/4in (7cm) wide

           226, no. 247, described as early 20th century.

           FOUR ARCHAISTIC JADE AND HARDSTONE BELL-SHAPED
           PENDANTS
           Late Qing Dynasty
           The large bell carved with a chi dragon on one side, and a four-character
           archaic style inscription on the other, a pair of masks with crisscrossed
           rings at the shoulder, the center hollowed, the knop perforated for
           stringing, the stone mottled brown with natural inclusions; the flattened
           oblong pendant with curved bottom edge, pierced at the butt end, the
           sides carved with a incised chi dragon; the small trapezoidal pendant
           pierced on the upper end and decorated with carved chi dragon
           design, the stone stained brown in most areas; the small celadon bell of
           cylindrical body, perforated under the square knop for stringing. (4)
           1 1/8in to 2 3/4in (2.9cm to 7cm) high

           A small cylindrical bell-shaped pendant similar to the celadon jade
           pendant in the present lot, from the Bishop William C. White Collection
           and now in the Royal Ontario Museum, is illustrated on the museum’s
           website, number 928.12.156, attributed as Qin-Yuan dynasty.  166
