A miniature double-overlay glass snuff bottle
1780-1850
Of compressed globular form with a waisted neck, slightly recessed
lip, spreading circular foot ring, carved to the front and back with two
chilong in cinnabar lacquer-red, each on a bi disc carved in green
overlay, tied at either side of the shoulders and terminated with tassels.

A cranberry-red and white glass chrysanthemum
blossom snuff bottle
1750-1800
Of flattened spherical form, with a waisted neck, the flat lip and foot
heightened with red overlay rings, carved to either of its main sides
with a chrysanthemum blossom with carefully defined concentric
petals, set between two faux lion mask-and-ring handles to the narrow
sides; the semi-translucent red overlay in attractive contrast to the
opaque white ground with a pale yellow tinge.
