An enameled milky-white glass snuff bottle
1052 Qianlong mark, 1800-1850
Well-hollowed, the flattened rounded bottle with sloping shoulders
42 | BONHAMS rising to a waisted neck, flat lip, painted in enamels of various shades
with a similar subject to the front and back, depicting Zhong Kui, the
Demon Queller, and his attendant in a garden setting under either a
willow or a pine tree, with ornamental rocks and flowers, the raised
oval foot painted in iron-red with the four-character mark.

Qianlong mark, 1800-1850
Of flattened rounded form with a waisted neck, flat lip, painted in
enamels depicting figures in a joyful spirit, one side detailed with a man
instructing a young boy hanging a banner to the outside of a house
shaded by a tree, another two boys lighting a firecracker on the bank
of a river nearby; the verso featuring a garden scene, one figure making
an offering to a demon-like statue whilst three boys hiding behind it, an
additional figure sweeping the ground under a large blooming tree, the
splayed foot bearing the four-character mark in iron-red.
