A red overlay glass snuff bottle with
archaistic motifs
1750-1800

Of flattened rounded form, skillfully carved through the translucent

orange-red overlay to the misty-white ground with a winged mythical

beast, reversed with a fine archaistic ‘jade’ bi disc, the narrow sides

with two handles in the form of simple elongated loops.

A red overlay mallow flower glass snuff bottle
1750-1820
Very well-hollowed, of compressed globular form, with a gently
waisted neck, wide mouth, flat lip, well carved oval foot ring, carved
through the ruby-red overlay to the front and back with an elegant
mallow flower set off to each side by faux lion mask-and-ring handles,
all against a cloudy-white ground.
