A PALE CELADON JADE SHOULAO AND DEER GROUP
17TH-18TH CENTURY
清十七/十八世紀 青白玉壽老立像
The God of Longevity is carved holding a gnarled sceptre in his hands and
wearing long fowing robes. He stands beside a deer. The stone is of a pale
celadon tone sufused with brown striations.

A WHITE AND GREY JADE ‘TWIN DOG’ CARVING
白灰玉雙犬銜芝把件
The jade is carved and pierced to depict two dogs chasing each other’s long
bushy tail and grasping lingzhi sprigs in their mouths. The white area of the
stone is used to highlight one dog, while the greyish brown area of the stone is
reserved for the depiction of the other.

A CELADON AND RUSSET JADE ‘MONKEY’ GROUP
19TH-20TH CENTURY
十九/二十世紀 青玉帶皮靈猴獻壽紋把件
The group is carved as a large seated monkey carrying a small monkey on her
back while another sits beside her. The stone is of a russet and brown tone
with areas of the smaller monkeys highlighted in celadon tones.
