A WHITE JADE FIGURE OF LI TIEGUAI AND A WHITE JADE
CARVING OF A BOY
18TH CENTURY

清十八世紀 白玉鐵拐李擺件及白玉童子擺件 一組兩件

Li Tieguai is carved holding a walking stick in his left hand and double-gourd
branch slung over his right shoulder. The stone is of a pale even tone. The
boy is carved in a recumbent position, playing with a brocade ball and a long
ribbon. The stone is of a pale even tone with one small dark grey inclusion.

                                                                                The group comprises: a pale celadon jade belt hook carved with a chilong; a
                                                                                celadon jade belt hook with a dragon-head terminal; a pale celadon ruyi-head
                                                                                hair pin; a spinach jade scroll-end hair pin; a pale celadon and russet jade
                                                                                archer’s ring decorated with Muwang’s eight horses; a celadon and faux russet
                                                                                jade archer’s ring; and a pale jadeite bangle.

A PALE CELADON JADE PIERCED ‘DRAGON’ HAT FINIAL
MING DYNASTY (1368-1644)

明 青白玉雲龍紋帽飾

The oval shaped openwork fnial is carved with a horned dragon writhing
amongst clouds. The base is pierced with four holes for attachment. The stone
is of an even pale celadon tone with pale inclusions.
