A REPOUSSÉ GILT COPPER ‘DRAGON’ HANGING CENSER
AND COVER
19TH CENTURY
清十九世紀 鎏金銅皮龍紋吊爐
The censer is decorated with three shou character roundels above a petal band
to the foot. The censer is suspended from a tiered hanging bell decorated with
pierced scrolling lotus by chains connected to three dragons with adjustable
heads. The pierced tiered cover is similarly decorated.

A SMALL GILT BRONZE FIGURE OF SHAKYAMUNI
18TH CENTURY
清十八世紀 鎏金銅釋迦牟尼像
Shakyamuni is seated in dhyanasana on a double lotus base, his right hand
in bhumisparshamudra the other supporting an alms bowl. He has a mild
and serene expression and is dressed in a robe draped over his left shoulder
exposing the tied undergarment reaching the chest.
