A FAMILLE-VERTE ‘FISHERMEN’ BRUSHPOT, BITONG
Kangxi period, 1700-1720
Of gently waisted cylindrical form, the exterior painted with two
fishermen punting a long boat along a shoreline fringed with reeds,
inscribed with a seven-character line of poetic verse, signed Yuqiao
with one painted seal reading Mushi ju, the slightly concave foot
centered with a glazed countersunk circle surrounded by an unglazed
ring.
