              These   inscriptions  are  taken from    a  large  oribon  con-
         taining  eighteen   paintings, upon    silk,  of  flowering  shrubs,
         executed in the most perfect style of the Kano school.        They
         were painted    in  the  period  of Bunkwa,    1804  to  1818  a.d.
         No. 569.     Engraved upon     the  wooden    cover  of  the book
         Ku-betsu-jo.    Ichi.   Kubetsu-jo, the name of the work;     First
         volume.   No. 570.    Painted within   the book.    Ki Masa-tami
         21-ROKU.   Ki no Masatami, the name        of the  artist;  zi-rokii,
          written  by  himself.  The upper    of  the two   seals  is No  in
          Masa-tami, The    seal  of Masatami, and   the lower one    is Shi
          To, his second name.
