KA U SHITADARU HARAYEBA IsHI O CHIKU YEI UTSURU. The
inscription is read as follows
Ren 0 makeba kau shitadaru,
Ishi 0 harayeba chikiiyei ^itsuru.
It may be translated
As 1 raise the curtain the rain drops from the flowers.,
As I sweep the stone the shadow of the bamboo is reflected.
