Six-character Jiajing mark and of the Period
The conical bowl flaring sharply outward to an everted rim and
decorated in rich cobalt blue with the ‘Eight horses of Muwang’ set
into a rocky landscape under swirling clouds, one shown in repose in
the central well under a wide ‘t’ lozenge band at the rim enclosed in a
copper band.

Guangxu mark and period
The central well, a horizontal band beneath the mouth rim, and
the convex underside all decorated in a vine and lotus ground, the
recessed base centered by the six-character mark in standard script.

Kangxi mark
Surmounted by a tall slightly tapered cylindrical neck atop a globular
body raised atop a tall foot, decorated with beauties and rustics 1055
boating in pine forest below a bird perched in a frond of bamboo, the
recessed base centered by a double ring.

A TRANSITIONAL STYLE BLUE AND WHITE CENSER
Of bombé form rising to an everted rim, all standing on a splayed foot,
the exterior painted with fishermen rowing boats and catching fish by
the river among water reeds and leafy trees.
