A LARGE GREY AND BLACK JADE GARMENT HOOK
MING DYNASTY (1368-1644)
The wide, curved shaft is well carved in openwork on top with a
chilong crawling amidst the trailing, leafy stem of lingzhi clasped in its
mouth as it faces the dragon-head hook. The underside is carved with
a C-shaped loop suspending a loose, square ring. The stone is of pale
grey color fecked with black markings and with areas of russet skin
highlighting the chilong and dragon head.
